We enjoyed our stay Labor Day Weekend. We booked this spot last minute and were pleasantly surprised. The house is located on a quiet street with lots of trees and privacy. The driveway is steep but there were 3 parking spots- may be challenging in the snow. The house was updated, beds were comfy, house was very clean and stocked with plenty of kitchen stuff, towels and toys. Came with HOA amenity passes though we didn’t end up using them. We had trouble finding the lockbox when we arrived but it was actually by the downstairs entrance, not the main door. Cleanup was easy before checkout. A quick drive to Arnold for restaurants, close to the Lube Room and Big Trees Park. Deck was nice. There are stairs to get to the lower level that are steep and slippery so be careful of this with young kids, older folks and clumsy adults (we slipped on them with our socks). There is a door st the top of the stairs to block off for kiddos. Overall, we would recommend!

We loved this experience. The cabin was so nice, the area was beautiful. We enjoyed spending time at Big Trees and White Pines lake.

Loved our stay in the Sugar Pine Cabin. It is so cute and comfy. Loved that the kitchen had everything you need. The beds were great. And the kids loved the foosball and games. Would definitely return.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at SugarPine Cabin. The cabin was well lit an cooled to perfection. We have stayed in this area before and very much enjoyed the Rec. Center. We look forward to staying in the future.

We had a wonderful long weekend with my husband and 1.5 year old daughter. The house had a nice layout for kids. Really appreciated the gate at the top of the stairs to keep our little one from trying to play on the steep stairs. The neighborhood was great for morning walks. The pool at the rec center was great. There was one large pool and then a smaller one that was shallow for kids. They even had innertube waterpolo which was so fun. Would definitely book this home again.

It was a beautiful place. We had a wonderful stay. Even when the air started messing up on a very hot week, they jumped on it right away and fixed it. Wonderful time.

Really clean, cute cabin with a nice mix of spaces to hang out it. Peaceful surroundings with nice neighborhood for walking. It was too cold to use the deck, but it would be a great place to be in the warmer months. One thing to note if you’re planning on cooking in, you’ll have to bring everything (other than salt, pepper & olive oil) - the kitchen is pretty well stocked with pots and utensils otherwise.

Adorable place in a great location. You can fit a decent amount of people. Only negative is that it’s a little light on supplies. While you have all the plates and pots and pans, there’s no olive oil, coffee, or even a hair dryer. Just be prepared to bring things like that.

The cabin was beautifully remodeled and very comfortable for our family's stay. Everything seems new. The property manager was very responsive when we had a question about amenities.

Thank you for a wonderful stay! We really enjoyed the cabin and the cozy woodsy holiday theme decor. It was great to come back to a cozy place to relax after a day of sledding. It was very clean, and the soft warm blankets were very much appreciated. We hope to stay at this cabin again in the future!

The light over the dining table is too dim. The light switch in the main floor tv room did not work at all. The bannisters are loose. No broom could be found. At least two doors were squeaky. My wife suggests fluffier pillows. The pool table needs to be replaced or the top refurbished.

Wonderful property in the mountains that served as a luxe basecamp for a father/son fishing/lake weekend. Well appointed, clean and cozy.

We took our son and two of his friends in Feburary to try their hand at snowboarding. This rental was great for three teenage boys. They had fun in the loft, playing games and watching their own TV, while the adults stayed downstairs. We could hear them, but there was plenty of space for us and our family dog.

When we arrived there were only four chairs at the table (as opposed to 6 in the photos). We called, and they brought us some stools the next day. As other reviews mentioned, the "leather" on the chairs was peeling, and they were not the sturdiest chairs, but they worked for us.

The location was deep into the subdivision, which was tricky at first since there was no GPS signal. The upside was that it was extremely quiet. I'm sure it is wonderful in the summertime.

The kitchen supplies for cooking are sparse, so if you are planning to put together any big meals, you might want to prepare. We didn't find a cutting board, and there wasn't a big pot to make a large batch of chili. Otherwise, it served us well!

This is our second time to this cabin and we enjoyed our stay the same amount. Very quiet and peaceful, felt like we had the forest to ourselves.

Overall we had a very positive experience staying at Whispering Pines. The kitchen is tiny and has no dishwasher, there are limited plating options. Otherwise the kitchen was fairly well appointed. We were glad to have AC as it was hot! The kitchen chairs are falling apart and disintegrating - Time for new dining chairs! Otherwise most everything else was in good working order.

This ended up perfect for us... a couple very minor quibbles: a) kitchen chairs are pretty tore up, b) we wished there was some regular seating for little ones at meal time c) we wished there was a king bed somewhere... but the pros far outweighed the cons: a) Air conditioning! [it was over 100 outside when we stayed] b) comfortable furniture, c) both my boys loved the foosball in the loft, d) rec center passes were a nice addition, e) your choice of firmer or softer mattresses.

Overall, we'd definitely stay here again, unless we needed something for a larger group.

We have been to the Arnold area multiple times and this was by far the best. The cabin was clean and we didn't have to do anything special as far as cleaning instructions! Just clean the dishes, bag the trash and go!

The cabin itself was the perfect size, we had plenty of room to spread out but cozy enough that we could easily have family time playing board games, watching a movie, and of course the family foosball tournament. The deck was perfect to have morning coffee and relax reading the news listening to the sound of the forest.

This has been our favorite cabin of which I am sure we will rent again.

Awesome cabin at a great location. End of the street, no immediate neighbors, beautiful deck that overlooked a small valleys of trees. During our stay, the weather was nice, however a little warm at 100+. The AC in the cabin worked great and was appreciated. We also took advantage of the pool and community center that the cabin belongs to. There are two pools, ping pong tables, shuffle board, air hockey, basket ball courts, etc.The cabin is also small dog friendly and allowed us to bring our two dogs, saving a significant amount of money on boarding. Next time we head up to Arnold, this will be the first place we look into staying.

Our trip to the snow had to be rescheduled because of winter storms, and Sheila w/ Sierra Vacation Rentals facilitated the changes. She was super helpful. This cabin was great for our family. The kids enjoyed the upstairs with the foosball table, Bear Valley is nearby, and its the perfect place to work from when everybody is busy playing outside! We will come back!

This is a super clean, darling cabin in a gorgeous, quiet location. You wake up to see beautiful trees, and take walks around a beautiful neighborhood. So grateful we could bring our dog, we loved our stay, thank you for having us!!

But, the trees kept the property shaded, and it was quite pleasant sitting on the deck. The house got a bit hot during the day, but cooled off at night with the fans.

The kitchen could use a few more basic items, like spices, bowls, etc. But, overall, had most things you'd need.

We had a lot of fun in the area. The people we encountered were all very friendly, and helpful. The highlights were Lake Alpine, White Pine Lake, and Hinterhaus Distillery.

Cabin was comfortable and clean. Needs some updating but we had a lovely time. The only drawback is the rails on the deck are dangerous and spacing is not current code or even code from ten years ago! Very dangerous for a small child. We were uncomfortable even using the deck and had to gate off the loft. Would not recommend this cabin to anyone with a small child or small dog for that matter.

We enjoyed our stay, lovely spot, nice and quiet, yet close enough to everything we wanted to do. The cabin was clean and stocked fairly well, great deck where we enjoyed several BBQs. Owners/managers were responsive and helpful.

We have stayed at this cabin many many times in the summer and winter months. The cabin has great accommodations. Be mindful if you stay in the summer months there is no A/C. It would be so wonderful if there was a portable A/C unit that can be used. The temps were very high over the holiday weekend and it was uncomfortable for most of us to sleep at night. Our experience is always one of for the memory books. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen has many items we need to make our meals at home.

The house is beautiful ! We enjoyed our short stay but we will definitely go back.

Great place to rent. We enjoyed our stay. It was a last minute getaway and we had a nice relaxing time at the cabin. We would rent it again and recommend this cabin to our family and friends.

We had a great experience staying in this house for a ski trip with another family. Lots of room for the kids to play and the adults to socialize. The wood burning stove was awesome & the kitchen well equipped. The only downside was a loud, powerful forced air heater but it kept us warm!

The house was very clean and well appointed. Great views and quiet surroundings. Lots of sleeping areas and spaces for relaxing and reading too!
