This property was exactly as described and perfect for our family getaway. I can not recommend it enough. The house was very well appointed. They literally thought of everything, even down to blow up lake/pool toys for the kids. We enjoyed our evenings on the deck. The beds were comfortable. The neighborhood is very peaceful, which made for very relaxing mornings. The kids enjoyed their time at the Rec Center. The staff at the Rec Center were very welcoming and encouraged us to participate in some of their summer competitions. The cabin is centrally located to many other activities, Big Trees State Park, Moaning Caverns, Alpine Lake, and The Red Apple Bakery/Cider Mill. We even took a day trip to Yosemite.

The house is in a lovely neighborhood, close to skiing and other winter sports, and very comfortable and clean.

This place is wonderful! We wanted some fun in the snow and this was perfect. They had toys to build an igloo and sleds for hours of fun. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook our own meals, as we never left the cabin for our entire 3 night stay, except to play outside. My only wish is that they would have provided more towels for the kitchen and hand towels for the bathroom, but we made it work. Overall, we loved our stay. Thank you!

Beautiful cabin. My family loved it and the host was super responsive. I would just say to text the host before you get there and ask for the wifi because there is no service once at the cabin. Other than that, an amazing place to stay.

We had 9 family members coming from all over the country to spend a vacation together and Le Chalet fit us very easily. I believe everhthing was in good working order and for the most part the cabin was clean and tidy. The hot tub has locks on it so guests cannot use it. The deck is pretty rickety, it sways and wiggles when you walk across it and the table on it is so wobbly you can't put drinks on it during a meal. There is no AC so don't rent this place when it's hot in Arnold, it was so hot inside nobody on the main or upstairs floors could sleep the first 4 days we were there. They provided a couple of fans but we had to go down to angelscamp and buy two box fans to exhaust the heat out the upstairs windows. With those few quirks, the cabin was ssrviceable and slept all of us. There is a gas grill on the deck, but be very careful, the bottom of it is rusted off and it got the propane tank so hot the first time I use it that I couldn't touch the valve to turn it off. I just pulled the tank iut from under the grill and it was fine after that. The deck behind the garage is collapsed and unuseable, so don't plan on that like we did.

This is our second time staying for extended periods. And our experience was just as good as the first time. Thanks to Sheila at Dorrington Realty for always being so responsive and kind! Beautiful home in beautiful surroundings.

Bang for your buck, amazing cabin and very spacious for a family of three. Will definitely be renting again when snow season approaches.

Clean and we'll stocked. We cook alot and there was everything I needed in the kitchen. The point of contact was friendly and responsive. We look forward to staying again when we come back to the area!

The cabin is very nice, in a good location, relatively close to the rec center, and very peaceful. The property is in very good condition and is stocked with a number of thoughtful essentials. We really enjoyed our time at this cabin and will return for another peaceful stay.

Our vacation rental experience was smooth and exceptional! From planning to our stay! Sierra Vacation Rentals communication and detail was top notch! Our vacation home was clean, well equipped and oh so gorgeous! The furnishings were modern, clean and very well kept! The chalet itself was bright, cheerful and magazine page worthy! The view was exceptional! It was everything we wanted it to be! We will definitely be back!

This cabin is very clean and nice and is located close to Bear Valley Ski Resort.

It is well-equipped and looks exactly like the pictures provided. I believe the rental company should provide a picture of where the lockbox is located. We had a hard time finding it.

Very clean. Nice amenities, including stove (did not use), refrigerator, washer/dryer, and WIFI. Responsive owners. Driveway and roads were paved nicely despite the winter storm. Close enough to Bear Valley for ski and snow play, far enough not to be entrapped by snow in the higher elevations. Overall a great stay, would stay again!

This cabin is brand new, very comfortable and well appointed! There is plenty of room, feels spacious, great location! I’ll definitely be back!

Everything was of high quality material and workmanship.

A lovely home in a beautiful setting. Clean, well appointed kitchen and the cabin had everything needed for two families (one with children) to have a great time.

My family visited on a last-minute trip in May 2023 (2 adults, 2 kids). Our usual place with Sierra Vacation was booked, so we decided to stay at Sierra Chalet. It's a beautiful home filled with everything we needed. All the beds and linens were very comfortable, and I especially enjoyed the large soaking tub. The home had lots of gear for those traveling with infants: play pen, walker, high chair, bath seat, baby gates. There were some toys & games for our kids to play together and also plenty of separate TV rooms when they needed a break from each other. All the rooms had room-darkening shades, which worked really well. We ended our evenings with dinners on the BBQ grill (gas grill) and movies in front of the fireplace.In theory, the home is a 3-level home with lots of stairs. Something to keep in mind for travelers with mobility issues. It's a 5-minute drive from our favorite dinner spot, The Lube Room, and Camp Connell General Store. A 10-minute drive to Big Trees, White Pines Lake, Sierra Logging Musuem.About 15-min drive to a larger grocery store

This cabin was great! It has everything that you would need and the game room was a big hit with my kids. The beds are comfortable and the bathrooms and kitchen is well stocked.
A special shout-out to Sheila and Derek at Dorrington Realty. My son left his watch and they were wonderful and shipped it back to us!

I have stayed at tons of rental homes and this houses was in my top 3. It is gorgeous, easy, comfortable, affordable and had everything we needed. I highly recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home. Super spacious and well appointed, and so clean. There was plenty of room for our 3yo to play - we especially enjoyed the loft and making a huge bubble bath. We loved the wood stove for extra coziness. Snow play stuff was a great bonus too!One thing I’d recommend to other guests is pack your slippers because the primary bathroom floor can be chilly.Overall, we’d happily stay here again and found it very comfy.

We had a great stay over the Christmas/New Year week. The house is fantastic. It is spacious and kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed for cooking. The openness of the floor plan to allow guests to interact with each other while cooking, dining, or relaxing in the family room area. The detached game room under the garage was a great treat for the kids. Bedrooms had comfortable beds. Access to the garage to park our vehicle was fantastic too. I would definitely stay here again.

After the stay at the lodge, we now want to keep going back!

Just got back from the weekend at lazy bones lodge and we want to book our next stay already. Check in was a breeze and easy to follow. Cabin was big and cozy for our group. We loved that we had access to the recreation center. The kids loved it. We will definitely come back for our next vacation in big trees. Thanks for hosting us.
